Can Someone Explain algebraic fractions to me please? I Don't understand It

Algebraic fractions are the same as normal fractions, but they have algebraic expressions as the numerator/denominator. 

For example, [tex] \frac{2}{7} [/tex] is a normal fraction, but [tex] \frac{3y - 2x}{2y + 5x} [/tex] is an algebraic fraction.
