Ok for this you will need to get Y by itself to do that just subtract $6.30 on both sides. $25- 6.30= $18.70 , so y= $18.70 is your answer.

6.30 + y = 25

Subtract 6.3 on both sides

y = 25 - 6.30

y = 18.7
