the formula for an area of circle is
[tex]\pi {r}^{2} [/tex]
which mean
[tex]\pi \times radius \times radius[/tex]
the radius can be found by dividing the diameter by two as the diameter is twice the radius
[tex]diameter = radius \times 2[/tex]
