Find the value of a such that the points (4,a) and (8,3a) lie on the same line with the slope m= 1/3.

2a/2 if you know the slope formula when you put those exacts values it’s like simple algebra with combining like terms on the top part and doing subtraction on the bottom part and you get 2a/2=1/3 multiply by two on both sides and you get 2/3 and then divide by two on both sides to get the “a” alone and you get 1/3!
